Here you can find an overview of the measurement instruments, sensors and other devices available to us. If available, example scripts, documentation or links to further helpful pages are provided. In general, we assume that with more or less reading, trying out, and some healthy amount of patience, everyone should be able to get everything up and running.

In case of failures: If something really doesn’t work or a defect occurs, we will of course be at your disposal with advice and assistance.

EEG with 32 channels

  • possibly up to four available
  • only available after approx. 18 o’clock on Friday

EMG

  • several electrodes with amplifier and DAQ in the storage room
  • recipe for data acquisition is also available

fNIRS

  • single-channel fNIRS, which can only be used on hairless areas (i.e. primarily frontal)
  • currently only offline analysis possible

Hand force measurement devices

  • two force sensors are recognized as a mouse via USB, with both sensors controlling the x- or y-axis of the mouse pointer

Goniometer

Vicon MoCap

  • one system in the motor lab
  • 3D coordinates can be streamed via network protocol and thus be used on another computer (for example with MATLAB) as LIVE motion capturing data
  • only available after approx. 18 o’clock on Friday

Shadow Motion Capture System

  • has not been used for a long time, somewhat unclear if everything still works..?
  • “Reference for the Motion SDK, including sample code for C++, C#, Java, and Python. Supports live-streaming of Shadow data to your custom application.”
